I was shocked and saddened to learn of Christie's unexpected passing when the President's office sent out the email. Christie felt like a part of our extended family among those of us on the Fondren/McFarlin residences @ SMU. We will always remember her fondly. Peace and love to you all!

Christie was a light and spirit in all of us that knew her... I have so many fun memories of Christie and while I know her journey has continued elsewhere, she left her mark with me as she did with everyone she met... My deepest sympathy goes out to her family during this difficult time. She will be greatly missed.

She remained my friend after we left Great Commonwealth. I remember she worked for the Government, sold copiers, worked retail, sold real estate and of course worked at SMU. Christie invited me to attend her wedding reception which I will never forget. It was a most perfect affair....beautiful bride, handsome groom and lovely guests. ...
