N. Lebanon, Maine - Christina “Tina” Marie Savage went peacefully to God, Friday October 3, 2003 after a long and courageous battle with lung and brain cancer.

Tina was born in Westerly, RI on December 5 1962 and was the daughter of Anne Savage. She moved to Dover, NH at an early age and attended Dover Schools. After graduation from High School, Tina attended the University of New Hampshire in Durham, where she earned her Associates Degree in Animal Science. Her deep love and empathy for animals and nature made her a better person and gave her strength throughout her life.

Tina leaves behind with great pain her beloved 11 year old son Shane - Her inspiration and reason for fighting and living so long. She is also survived by her super-mom, Anne Savage of South Berwick, ME, her sister and brother in law, Cheryl and Donald Lemay of Westminster, CO, dear nephew Brandon Sexton and Great Nephew Marshall Sexton. Tina had few close friends in her life including Cheryl Zopf, Pam Sutherby and Pat Anderson who stood by her and gave her their support until the end. She also leaves behind her hero and long term mate, Dean Murdo, and all of his family.

Calling hours at Bernier Funeral Home 49 South Street Somersworth will be on Monday from 6 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00am in St. Martin Catholic Church, W. High and Maple Streets with Rev. Aaron Pfaff, Pastor as celebrant.

Not sure what to say?

I am so very sorry to hear of Tinas passing. I just did a search to find my old friend.:( My deepest sympathies to her family.

I vaguely remember Tina when I was a little girl when she dated my uncle Jumbo, her laugh and her smile were very beautiful. My mom recently passed away her name was Cheryl. Now I know they are together and laughing like I'm sure they use to do. I'm so sorry for your loss. God bless Shane and let his mothers love make him a stronger man ,it somehow gets me through these days. My prayers are with you all.

You were a dear friend.I will always remember your smile and the fun we had together.I will miss you.And I hope that all who knew you, tips one for you.I did.

Take care

I am in shock as I was not aware of the sad events in Tina's short life. I met Tina many years ago and we had a lot of fun times together. I probably am not remembered, but I certainly remember Shane and Dean and Anne, and all my prayers for you and for Cheryl and her family as well. I guess it serves as a reminder to keep in touch with those that mean so much to you, and I am sorry that I didn't do more for Tina. Her smile and laugh was infectious and will be kept in my memories. Again my...
