Not sure what to say?

Miss Denette was a wonderful teacher and person. I had her for English for two different years and Drama Club for all 4 years. She was so kind and occasionally drove me home from play practice so I could be at rehearsals. (It was way out of her way. I lived in West Stafford and she lived in Monson MA at the time) I loved that she had board words (like brouhaha) in addition to the vocabulary words in the book. I appreciated that not only did we have to know the definition if she gave us the...

Aunty Chris was such an important person in our lives. Not having kids of her own, we were her kids. We had many fun times. Anytime a new movie came out she brought us. She always played board games with us and it was a cherished part of holidays. She always made our Summers fun and one summer she even paid for us to have Guitar lessons. I loved to see all the plays that she was a part of with her drama club. And every year we would go help her set up her room a few days before...

Christine and I grew up together in Sixteen Acres. It was a "Leave It to Beaver" and "Father Knows Best" type of childhood. I remember her parents, sister and her brother fondly. Both of us attended different high schools. Chris went to Cathedral and I went to Classical High, so we lost contact with each other during those years. I was happy to reconnect with her at AIC. She was the same intelligent, humorous woman that I knew as a child. After I moved to California, we tried to get together...

Our Sister Christine passed away Monday evening after a valiant battle with Alzheimer's Disease. She is survived by her partner and best friend Ellen Anderson. She leaves her nieces Denise Echols and Michelle Denette and Nephews Michael Denette, Edward Denette, Steven Paul, Todd Paul and Eric Paul. She was their Fairy Godmother who took them to Disney World, Plays, her Beach house in the summer, always encouraging them. She was a truly remarkable person and leaves a hole in our hearts....

While teaching English alongside Chris, at Stafford High School, in the early 1970's, we shared many wonderful experiences. She was an exceptional person, and teacher!! Rest In Peace.

I will always consider myself extremely fortunate to have had Chris as both an English teacher and a Drama director for so many plays and musicals, both at SHS and in community theater (1981-1986.) To this day, Chris remains one of the most influential people I´ve ever had in my life and I am an infinitely better person for it. Her legacy lives on in so many others as well who were inspired by her enthusiasm, creativity, and exceptionally high standards. Chris motivated us all to bring forth...
