What a welcome Aunts Boots gave to family and friends, even deer, on Cuttyhunk. Not a summer goes by that we cousins don't reminisce about a wonderful story, a delicious meal,her balcony garden, and various shenanigans at the Bowling Alley and Gutter provided by dear Aunt Boots. I had the good fortune to work with her at the Cuttyhunk Historical Society where her gracious welcome and gift of gab made every visitor feel befriended. I expect she will continue her good works "on the other side."...

I knew her as "Aunt Boots" through Nancy, and I was touched from the beginning by the warm welcome she offered me -- to the family, to Cuttyhunk, to her world -- and the unconditional friendship / love I felt from her. I remember too the abundance of books she sent our way ... books she'd read, books she wanted us to read ... a world of books she loved and wanted to share. Oh so many memories of Aunt Boots--most especially on Cuttyhunk---she was 'captain' of the bowling alley for many years, providing her children,nieces & nephews a place to relax and have fun---and read....what a fabulous library she built over the years! I will miss her---God Bless!
