Christine Dodson

We are all deeply saddened by Christina´s passing. We are a philanthropic group of women (The Philoptochos Society) at the Greek Orthodox Annunciation Church in Manhattan. My first association with Christina was in 2007 when I became president and Christina volunteered to be our treasurer. She told me it will keep her and her granddaughter, Zoe, in touch with the Greek language and Greek culture. We worked beautifully together for the next seven years. Christine was an extraordinary woman. I'm grateful to have known her from visits in New York and if only for one sojourn in Greece. What a force. My best wishes and sympathies for her family.

I had the privilege to know Christine after I was hired to take care of her husband Richard and then became her caregiver. Christine was so sweet she loved and trusted me ever since I met her. She was knowledgeable and generous. She will be missed may her soul rest in peace. My sincere condolences to the family.

We have vivid memories of Christine presiding over dinner parties at which she seamlessly integrated dignitaries, academics, foreign visitors, and her children´s college friends with grace and charm. Christine´s wonderful presence and phenomenal hospitality, and Richard´s quiet anchoring indelibly etched these dinner parties in our memory .
