Christine Kelly Chris was born in South Tacoma on July 23, 1963 to Jim and Sue Berger, and moved to Lakewood when she was 4 years old. Chris was involved in the family business from an early age (Berger's Texaco), where she learned accounting, customer service, sales, and her love of cars. Chris loved the ocean beaches and spent a lot of time enjoying family and friends. She learned how to ice skate at Lakewood Ice Arena and a nearby lake; her passion followed through her life and led her to husband John. She rode horses, and her love for animals continued all her life. Chris is survived by her husband John, Glory, brothers Mike and Steve, and many cousins, whom she loved with all her heart. Chris was preceded in death by her sister, mother, and father. To all her friends and family at Kitsap County, she missed them dearly, and wished she had been able to contribute more, as she loved the new position she had just been hired for. Chris will be greatly missed by her family and all the people she touched. The world is a dimmer place without her light shining on us. To our dear friend Lori Olson, whose inspiration, guidance and love will forever be a source of strength on the path ahead. Very special thanks to Dr. Dennis Galvon and Franciscan Hospice, for your empathy, comfort, and care on this continuing impossible journey. In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial donation in the name of Christine Kelly to Franciscan Hospice and Palliative Care, 2901 Bridgeport Way West, University Place, WA 98466. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Visitation Catholic Church. Arrangements by Piper-Morley Funeral Home, 472-3353. Please sign the guest book at pipermorleymellingerfh.com

John & family,
Jerry and I just learned of Chris' passing late last night when we talked with Mike. Our deepest sympathies are sent to you with heavy hearts. We are comforted in knowing Chris is no longer having to deal with the loss of her independence and the quality of life she so cherished---her pain is gone. For these things, we are grateful and know through your tears, heartache and sadness, you are as well. We hope "Glory" is doing okay and pray she is providing...

I'm so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Xoxo

I would like to thank all of you that took the time to remember Chris here. She will remain loved and missed by all of us. You loving words celebrate her memory, and only as she could do, left a part of herself in each of you. Thank you again. Reading you thoughts brings me comfort. I will always hold you all in my heart, thoughts and prayers.

Chris, I Love You, Drive safe, be careful, God bless and protect you.

Forever & Always, the light and love of my life.

John: We are both so sorry for your loss, our thoughts and prayers are with you and we pray that God will comfort you during this time of grief.

John, Chris will be remembered for her thoughtful manner, her joy of life, and her kindness to others. She was a bright light and will be missed by so many. We wish you peace and strength.

I can't find the words to express the loss to our family loosing Christie has created. I remember her from the time she was about two. Actually the first time I saw her was as an infant. She was a most beautiful and sweet little child, always smiling and playful, her sister and I played house and other games for hours. As she grew she kept her inner and outer beauty and gained a wisdom of life she shared with me. I will always keep having Christie as my cousin as a valued gift.

John, Mike and Steve - I cannot put into words the impact Chris had in my life. We were inseparable for so long that even when we didn't see each other or talk for a while, we still had a special connection. She will be truly missed. Her laughter and smile will forever live in my heart. My love to each of you during this time of sorrow and healing.

John, sorry to hear about your loss, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

My prayers to John and family I am so sorry for your loss
