I was looking up Chris on Facebook and was so saddened to learn that she passed in 2007. She became friends with my mom in 1996 when she stayed with her during a teaching seminar in Conneticut and then visited us in Guayaquil Ecuador in 1998. I was just a kid but she made such an impression on me. She was always full of energy and always had a smile on her face. I'm so happy to read that she tpuched so many lives.

I have experienced death many times in my life, but none have hit me as hard as Senora LaRosa's. I had Senora for Spanish two and a half years during my high school years and then I have worked with her for the past two years at the high school. Over the past year we bonded and talked a great deal about my aspirations and my plans for the future and she encouraged me and stood by me, and talked me through difficult choices and helped me to see the positive in every situation. I finally have read all these beautiful notes of remembrance about my sister Christine. I would like personally thank each one of you for keeping my sister alive in your memories. I have so many beautiful ones of her myself. I guess being the "baby" and her only sister you can only imagine. My favorite is her name for me..
