Corridan Funeral Home - Chicopee Obituary

Chicopee- Christine A. McCoubrey, 77, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer.  A daughter of the late Raymond and Marjorie (Lynch) McCoubrey, Christine was born on September 13, 1946 in Springfield.  She was educated in Springfield public schools and was a graduate of the High School of Commerce.  Christine worked as an optician and was most recently employed at Costco.  Christine loved genealogy and researching her family’s history and she was also a former member of the Irish Cultural Center.  She is survived by her son, Thomas W. Andringa, of CA, a sister Nancy Nareau and her husband Larry, of Chicopee, her brother James McCoubrey and his wife, Marykay, of Easthampton, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.  Services for Christine will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, beginning with calling hours from 9:00 to 10:30am at the Corridan Funeral Home, 333 Springfield St., Chicopee, followed by a funeral home service at 10:30, and burial in Calvary Cemetery, Chicopee.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Brightside for Families and Children (www.give.mercycares.com).  To leave your condolences or to share a memory with the family, please visit www.CorridanFuneral.com

Sorry to hear of Christine's death. Her mother Marjorie was my mother's favorite cousin) (Betty Devine mother, Josie O'Brien my grandmother). 2 years ago Christine gave me some family data which i researched and found to be true.
