Not sure what to say?

Fondly remembering Chris today....Sherri

Chris was the best! So sweet and kind and always doing some sort of community project — like the marvelous center across from Peninsula Park, always organizing a gatherings to support and bring people together. Miss her big spirit!

I still miss Chris and her enthusiasm, zest, and outlook on life! She was always organizing something: group trips to the Shakespeare Festival, art shows, annual Christmas potlucks, etc. She was a bright light. Sherri Richardson Dodge

Thanksgiving was a time to reflect and miss a dear friend of 51 years. We had a ritual on Thanksgiving, on Black Friday about 5 of us would leave the bay area very early by train and travel to San Francisco to spend the day shopping and eating, the fun we had!!!! I miss my friend so very much, time has helped me to heal but it is a long process.

Chris's legacy will live on for many years-her work and participation in so many "communities" here in Portland is a testament to the wonderful woman she was! The Arts, libraries, June Key Delta House, neighborhood and the Sister Gatherings will all have a void-this only challenges the rest of us to continue her good works and quiet, kind manner! Thank you Chris for all you've given to so many.

Chris was such a joyful person to be around and a community treasure. I will miss her. . .

IFCC Mardi Gras

To Sam, my thoughts and prayers go out to you.

I will fondly remember Chris as an advocate and patron of the arts. As a collector she encouraged and supported our local artists, and as a board member of IFCC, she devoted her time, resources and heart towards cultivating an appreciation for diversity in the arts. An artist herself, in her determined- but gentle manner, she created beauty within our community with a pulse of positive energy to carry us in our lives.

Chris touched many lives. Always a smile, a hug; her presence was powerful.
She was so beautiful, so charming, so genuine; her warmth and wit will long be remembered. Her open house gatherings were legendary.
What a grand person to have known [via IFCC Board].
My condolences to Sam and her family.

My sister, my mentor, my dear, dear friend. I miss you so much. You lit a path for so many to follow. You guided me in good times and bad. You surrounded me with culture and we shared many laughs and tears. You always believed we could accomplish whatever we set our minds to, and then you delivered. So kind and caring, such a beautiful spirit you gave to the world. You had a dream, and it came true because of your hard work and dedication. JKDCC stands in testament to you. Your dream...
