Christine and I met at the American Architectural Foundation, when she became the Executive Director of the Mayor's Institute on City Design. I loved her calm, kind temperament and loved even more catching a glimpse into her quirky side. She and I once went to a wig shop in Wheaton when she first had cancer and had fun trying on different hair. I recall that she picked out a fabulous red shag wig. Christine was my dear friend for over 20 years. Her warmth, wisdom, and support were, at times, all I had to sustain me. I hoped that we would grow old together. Her loss is huge. My condolences to Jeanne, David, and all of those who, like me, loved this marvelous woman.
