Rip Ms. Volpe thank you for always telling me to never give up on myself or my dreams. For showing 809 that it's okay to have flaws. Thank you for being such an important and amazing piece of my childhood. Miss you little crazy lady. May you continue

Rip Ms. Volpe thank you for always telling me to never give up on myself or my dreams. For showing 809 that it's okay to have flaws. Thank you for being such an important and amazing piece of my childhood. Miss you little crazy lady. May you watch over all your loved ones and rest in the sweetest peace.

Chrissy, I think of you all the time and I just know youre around. You have even visited me in my dream once, speaking to me in the candid way that I always loved and appreciated.

May your souls forever Rest In Peace knowing how much you were loved here on Earth. Until we meet again, please watch over us.

We miss you!

Christine came into our lives when she accepted a part-time job in our office back in 2002. She was like a breath of fresh air as she grew from a file clerk to a person we found hard to do without. We supported our co-worker in her endeavors to become a teacher and celebrated with her when she accepted her position with the NYC school system. Christine was that special someone who will live on in our hearts forever.

Chrissy at my 10th Birthday party, July 1988

Chrissy and I grew up together. Her mom and my mom were friends before we were born. They each had 3 kids, so we each paired up well when we visited. Chrissy, I will always cherish summers together swimming in your backyard. We'd roller skate around the block and take walks to the corner store for candy. For some reason you always thought that your dad didn't want his change and would throw it over your shoulder onto the sidewalk. You always thought you could sing better than me, and you were...

So much love and personality in that little body. I am a better person for having known her. She will be in my heart always. Till we meet again...

Christine was the kind of friend that you'd be hard-pressed to find, but if you did, you'd consider yourself among the lucky. She'd talk from her heart, even if it was hard to hear, but she spoke out of love. She was loyal and fun and no matter this much time, distance or space came between us, she would never turn her back. I loved her and will forever miss her. My prayers go out to Nick and her family; you meant everything to her.

We will always remember Christine's bright smile and deep love of family. She will always be in our hearts and in our prayers.

If Roses Grow in Heaven - Kirsten Preus

Don't think of her as gone away,
Her journey's just begun.
Life holds so many facets,
This earth is only one.
Just think of her as resting
from the sorrows and the tears,
In a place of warmth and comfort
Where there are no days and years.

We met Christine 6 months ago when she walked into our home and into our lives to tutor my daughter, Lauren. Christine sat at our dining room table at least once per week helping Lauren relentlessly and with determination. Christine was genuinely interested in knowing how Lauren did in her Math class, calling her after she took a test to see how she did. I often heard the two of them laughing...and can still hear Christine's giggle...she made Math interesting....A sweet, devoted and caring...
