I i was in Germany I was getting ready for Christmas and they said you Name in the News And i could let it sink in to me and just lefted with that for many many many years . I remember the years in Berlin and Colorado springs . I have cancer second time around hope i see u up there and hang with You and talk about old Times .. Love Sonja

Every year around Memorial Day I search the web for 1LT Christopher W. Barnett. I've done this for the past 14 years. I was in the M-1114 directly behind Chris' when he was KIA. He actually switched places with me just before we rolled outside ECP-7. So it should have been our Humvee that was hit. Who knows, Chris might have saved my life that day. I've struggled with that thought every day for the past 14 years. Chris just might have saved my life or the lives of one of the soldiers...

This Memorial Day I will remember Chris. We had a group of kids that used to camp out behind Monticello many years ago. Chris was a part of the crew. We'd make camp fires, tell jokes and turn in to the the neighborhood misfits after dark. All good fun. I remember the first time I met him thinking how small he was. That thought didn't last long after his dry wit kicked in. Some of my fondest memories were spending time with Chris. I hadn't seen him in years. He was a great guy with a...

Lt. Barnett had the busiest and most dangerous job in our company. In the rough and gruff world of military deployment he was one of the few who always treated everyone with respect. I don't think I ever hear a mean or angry word escape his lips.

Still think about you every single day, can't believe it's been 9 years..
