To Chris' family and friends - I echo others' sentiments here in saying that, while I only knew Chris through the SPCA's AAT program (and only for about a year), Chris is a kind, thoughful and cheerful soul. He will certainly be remembered warmly and will surely be missed.

Dear Family of Chris Bergman,

I worked at The SF/SPCA from 1999 until 2004 in Human Resources. I was lucky enough to get to know Chris and will always have a soft spot in my heart for him. He was a pioneer in Animal Assisted Therapy and spent a good deal of his life and time promoting animal welfare issues and raising awareness of the animal/human bond. There will never be another like him. He was without a doubt one of the brightest, kindest, most loving people I have ever met...
