NORTH ATTLEBORO – Christopher Birkbeck, 36, died in his home on Friday evening, September 23, 2005.

He was the beloved boyfriend of Tami Vivas with whom he lived.

Born September 22, 1969 in Norwood, he was a son of Lawrence and his wife, Lorraine Birkbeck of Plainville and Lee and her husband, Curt Nelson of Plainville.

Christopher grew up in Plainville and has lived in North Attleboro for the past 12 years. He was a 1987 graduate of King Phillip High School in Wrentham and has worked intermittently at the North End Deli in Plainville since he was 16. He had also worked several years doing landscape work with Earth Management in Stoughton.

Chris loved all sports, especially the local teams: Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins and Celtics. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed cribbage, Keno and was an excellent billiards player.

Chris was a very caring person and will be missed by the many great friends including his cat, Homer J.

In addition to his girlfriend and parents, he is survived by his loving son, Dana Cooper of North Attleboro; two brothers, Larry Birkbeck of North Attleboro and Matthew Birkbeck of Foxboro; a sister, Barbara Birkbeck of North Attleboro; a step-sibling, Derrith Spitzer of New Jersey and Kelli Irwin of North Attleboro; also many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A funeral will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2005 at 10 a.m. in the SPERRY & McHOUL FUNERAL HOME, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro. Burial will follow in Plainville Cemetery.

Visiting will be held Wednesday evening form 4 – 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Barbara Birkbeck, 37 Chase Street, North Attleboro, MA 02760. All proceeds will benefit Chris’ son, Dana.
