Christopher G. Block

Christopher “Chris” G. Block of Merrimack, NH passed away on Tuesday, May 28th, 2019 at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, NH from injuries sustained from a motor vehicle accident. He was 23 years old.

He was born on July 13th, 1995 in Brookline, MA to Glenn and Kristin (O'Keeffe) Block of Merrimack, NH. He was raised in Merrimack, NH and was a graduate of Bishop Guertin High School in Nashua, NH. Christopher attended Saint Anselm’s College where he was an active participant in Saint Anselm College’s Choir and Anselmian Abbey Players.

All who knew Christopher were enlightened by his high spirited, kind personality. He had an enormous heart that made an imprint on all who were privileged to know him. Christopher was a genuine, energetic, and loving friend to all. He lit up a room with smiles and positive energy. His light will stay with all of us forever. 

Christopher loved making memories: climbing a mountain, sitting on a beach or sharing a campfire telling funny jokes or contemplating the problems of the day.  He was a true Boston sports fan especially the Patriots and Bruins. 

Surviving members of his family include his loving parents Glenn and Kristin Block and sister, Abigail Block of Merrimack, NH; maternal grandmother, Joanne O'Keeffe of Burlington, MA; paternal grandparents Roger and Barbara Block of Peterborough, NH; aunts and uncles Kim and Kevin McCarthy of Tyngsboro, MA and Sharon and Jim Raesly of Queensbury,NY; and three cousins: Kaitlin “KK”, Holly and Harrison.  Christopher was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Peter O'Keeffe.

Calling hours will be held at St. John Neumann Church, 708 Milford Road, Merrimack on Monday, June 3rd from 4 – 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John Neumann Church on Tuesday, June 4th at 10 AM. Burial will follow at Last Rest Cemetery, Baboosic Lake Road, Merrimack.
