Christopher was born on February 28, 1984 and passed away on Monday, August 15, 2016. Christopher was a resident of Rutland, Vermont at the time of his passing. Mr. Burney graduated from Rutland High School in 2002. Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday Aug. 22 2016 at Aldous Funeral Home 44 North Main St. Rutland. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.

My condolences to the family and friends of Chris. I am saddened to hear the news that my son has lost a classmate at such a young age. I went to school with Chris's father, Mike, for many years and it sounds as though he inherited many of the memorable traits that Mike had. Kind, caring, funny, always a smile and just an all around gentle teddy bear. I will never forget Mike as the friends of Chris will never forget him.
