Not sure what to say?

I still think of Chris often. Being a teacher does something to us and it stays in us forever, and that´s always wanting to `teach´ or share our knowledge. That being said is enough to bring back the memories of working with Chris at EGHS. Plus I keep the photo´s we got of him right in my tool box, which I´m using almost everyday. I bet that he and I would have still been great friends today. Living in a different states even. Rest in Peace my friend. I miss you. Jeff Frahm

Mr. Chadwick has been on my mind lately as I've found interest in sailing and perhaps creating my own sailboat. I had him as my teacher in 2000 and 2001, and to this day he's been my favorite teacher I've ever had. I've gone on to graduate from high school and college all the way through grad school, and being a teacher myself now, here and there I always think about how thankful I was for the in-between lessons Mr. Chadwick taught me in addition to skills regarding power equipment and...

Joy,
I just wanted to say I appreciate all of the kind words you sent to me in your emails. I keep a picture of Mr. Chadwick at my desk like he used to keep mine. Hopefully one of these days we'll get to meet face to face and I can find out all the reasons why he loved you so much! God bless you and your family...

I can't begin to tell you the difference your husband/father made in my son's life. Louie, my son, adored Mr. Chadwick while he was a student at EGHS. Chris helped Louie attain an apprenticeship program through BCC and later worked with the Parkers at the electric company. Louie will graduate from college in May and they had emailed each other just before the holidays. Please know that your dad/husband cared about his students so much and will be missed. God Bless you

> We welcomed morning on the river

> Though like any other,
> We felt something on its way.

> As the breeze began to blow,
> We hoisted up the sail.
> A gust and we were off -
> Ripples formed our watery trail.

> Among the familiar sounds
> From sails, waves, seagoing birds
> Came a low,but lively tune
> Sung with a whistle, not with words.

> It came not from my companions

i personally had mr. chadwick as a history teacher this year, he was quite possibly the best teacher i have had in my 11 years of public schooling. and it saddens me that he is gone

I just want to thank EVERYONE for taking the time to write something here about Chris. He was truly a remarkable man, he loved teaching, and loved all his students. I want to write more about him but I'm not ready just yet. Later. I just wanted to take the time to thank everyone for their contributions because it gives me wonderful feelings every single day when I read it. He certainly left an exceptional legacy....and he will be truly missed. If anyone feels they would like to talk to...

It is a great loss to Eau Gallie High School and Chris's family to have him pass so suddenly. He is in a better place and will be missed by his colleagues, friends, and especially his family. I have fond memories of talking with Chris. I still have the doorstop he made for me. Rest in peace.

Words will never suffice when it comes to Chris. He was the epitome of a gentleman and a scholar. All of the faculty and staff here at EGHS greatly miss him. Thank you Chris for sharing your warmth, love for the water and Jimmy Buffett novels. It was an honor and a privilege to be your friend. Our thoughts and prayers are with Joy and the family.
