            Christopher Jay “Chris” Cottrell, age 67, passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at 4:36 AM at his residence in Ada.


            He was born on June 3, 1953 in Lima, Ohio to the late David W. Cottrell and Dorothy G. (Winks) Cottrell.   Christopher married Miriam R. Heyneman and she survives in Ada.


            Chris retired from INEOS Corp, where he worked as a general operator.  He was a member of the Lima Baptist Temple.   


            Also surviving is his daughter, Stacy (Boyd) Geedey of Ada; three grandchildren: Haley (Seth) Sheriff, Lindsay Crouse and Michael Crouse; a great grandson, Zayne; a brother, David (Amy) Cottrell of Cridersville; and a sister, Victoria (John) Czysz of Tucson, Arizona.


           He was preceded in death by a son, Jason Cottrell.         


           Attendance will be restricted at the funeral and visitation based on space to accommodate social distancing requirements.  Face coverings must be worn while attending visitation and service. 


           Private family services will be held at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada with Pastor Al Elmore officiating.  The funeral service for Chris will be live streamed on the Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services Facebook Page beginning at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 22, 2021.   


           Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Chris was such a wonderful person and co-worker. I am so very sorry for your loss.

I knew Chris from Central Jr. Hi. and Lima Senior. Great guy to know, and good friend to have. Sorry for the loss, but with Jesus now. We'll see him again.... you can count on that.
