Thanks for being such an inspiration Chris. Math will never be the same without you, especially without your jokes and terrible spelling. Goodbye my friend.

Chris was a great colleague who was always funny--even when he was being cynical. I was often embarrassed to admit that he knew more about Greek philosophy than I do--Chris sure had an admiration for Pythagoras! And I must join Bob Hickey in saying that I'm going to miss Chris' brave willingness to flaunt his love for the St. Louis Cardinals!!!

Can't believe you're gone my friend. We had so much more to share in this life. Your friends will raise a vessel of cheer in your honor on wednesdays, whether it be at the Racines or the Hoecherls. You will be missed. Our thoughts are with your family and friends at this most difficult time.

Chris would greet me every morning at work with his signature, "Good Morning Sunshine!" I will miss my morning chitchat. We shared a lot and my prayers are with his family and friends right now.
