Christopher C. Davis 24, of 309 Texas Ave., Sturigis died Feb. 22, 2004 of injuries suffered in automobile accident. He was born July 9, 1979 in Midland, MI a son of Charles and Martha (Vogelsang) Davis. He moved to Shipshewana, IN in 1980 and to Sturgis in Aug. of 1989. He was employed at Crocker Limited and enjoyed playing guitar, racing cars, dirt bikes, archery, astronomy - stars and planets, ice fishing, and especially loved the time spent with his son Christopher J.

Surviving are his fiancee: Abi Hoyt of Sturgis; one son: Christopher J. Davis of Sturgis; mother: Marti Waller of Sturgis; brother: Jason Davis of Colon; nephew: Mason Davis of Colon: grandmother: Donna Vogelsang of Midland; Aunt: Katie McMahan and husband Steve of Lawrenceville, GA: uncle: Randy Vogelsang and wife Bobbi of Casa Grande, AZ; and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father Charles and grandfather: Phelps Vogelsang Jr.

Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends in the Rosenberg-Schipper Funeral Home, Ltd. of Sturgis on Friday from 12:00 to 3:00 P.M. at which time a memorial services will be held for Christopher C. Davis with Rev. Doug Carr, Gateway Church of God, officiating. Memorials donations may be directed to a fund set up for his son Christopher J.
