Not sure what to say?

I went to Portfolio Center with Chris too. Even though I have not seen him since, I always remember him as one of the funniest guys and most talented writers I've met.

To the Decarlo family,

Chris will be incredibly missed, but all of the things that made him so great and unique will be remembered. His humor and intelligence made every conversation unforgettable. I remember getting together with him for drinks numerous times and the conversation/argument could go from the Stones versus the Beatles to the merits of the Bush tax cuts to Fantasy football to the Boston real estate market - and that was before the first beer was even finished. And...

I just learned of Chris' passing, and I was immediately transported back to my offices at Ingalls and Clarke Goward. It was the morning after Hatch or the holiday party, and Chris wanted to talk. He would come into my office, sit down and re-hash every detail of the event...and he revelled in it. Chris was the most keen observer of human behavior, which probably helped make him such a great writer. He was always spot-on, usually hilarious.

I wish that I had appreciated those...

To The DeCarlo Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Having attended K-12 with Chris and knowing him in later years too, he was a quite, funny, intelligent man with so much to offer this world. May your warm memories of him help you at this difficult time. Rest in peace my friend.

I was so shocked to read of the passing of Christopher, my deepest sympathies to you and your family.

Sue Roule, Hampden Bank now living in FL.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

To Chris' parents and all his family, I am so very, very sorry for your loss. Knowing Chris, he probably never told you how many friends and fans he had, but I feel very honored to have been one of them. He was a special man, and the world is a less honest, smart, and funny place without him. I'll never forget him.

There are few people in this world who are true to who they are. Chris was definitely one of them. He always knew who he was and so did everyone around him. He was smart, hilarious and unique. We worked together at Clarke Goward - early on, I remember feeling pretty good about some headlines I had written, then going into Chris's office, seeing some of his ads on the floor and heading back to my office to keep writing. He was so talented. You will be missed, my friend.

I loved sitting next to Chris at award shows and company meetings. His running commentary took all the pretension out of an industry that loves to take itself too seriously all too often. An amazing writer, and an even better person, Chris is already missed by us all.
