Not sure what to say?

Chris and I dated in high school. He was kind, and quiet, and always a gentleman. I have only good memories of him. We both loved music and would sit in his room for hours, listening to albums and enjoying a beautiful saltwater aquarium in his room. I´m sad to hear that he is gone, because I recently thought I would reach out and say hello after all these years. I´m glad to know he had some true friends in life.

Chris was such a kind, gentle person who was always willing to share a smile, laugh or a hug. Although, we have not kept in touch since college, his memory has always been and always will be a happy place in my heart. My deepest sympathies go out to his family and friends. Chris will surely be missed but never forgotten.

Chris and I spent many evenings in the front seat of my VW Bug discussing the finer points of life over a CHEAP six pack at USC.

He never could convince me to quit listening to the Dead, but I do owe it him for keeping me and my husband Michael together, thanks!

You will be missed so much! My condolences to you and your family.

Just like everyone else, I cannot believe you`re gone. I hadn`t seen you in awhile, but you were one of those people I liked knowing was out there. I love my memories of you.. of braiding your hair on a Chuys trip from Austin, of you giving me advice on boys (to which I never listened), of you being a great person that made me feel good whenever,so many other memories.. so many ways you will continue to make me smile.

Foley took me to my first alternative music show. It was Hoodoo Gurus at Rockafellas in Columbia, 1986. I never heard them before, but took Chris' word that they were good. When we got there it was sold out, so we stood outside and listened for free.
For being so tall, Chris could get low faster than anyone to make a save. I was always amazed by that, not to mention how far he could boot it. He was the first person I ever saw kick the ball to the goalie at the other end of the field....

I was lucky enough to meet Foley at South Carolina. His catlike reflexes in goal were unbelievable, but that's not what I remember most about him. When I think of Foley, I remember a great friend to everyone and I can picture him walking around campus like he had springs attached to his shoes, smiling all the time. I remember him showing all of us how to play his guitar, and how he faked like we sounded great even though we were horrible. We had some great seasons together, but the best and...

my memories of foley are turning each other on to a bunch of great bands, and road-tripping to birmingham with kenny loeber to see jane's addiction. the music lives on chris...rest in peace brother.

It's been a while...

He had that bouncy kind of walk, a bit of Irish Setter combined with Shaggy from Scooby Doo.
He was a free-spirit kind of folk hero kind of dude.

I always pictured him as a big reader although I can't remember him with a book.
I could see him hitch-hiking but I never heard of a ride he took.
I could see him fly fishing on a lazy brook,
but I could not imagine that he would hurt a fly or worm to get 'em on a hook.
I could imagine him a writer,...

Chris was a very honest guy who had the courage to be himself. We can all learn a lot from his life. It takes a lot of guts to live a creative life--it's much easier to just go with the flow than to listen to what your heart tells you to do. Chris leaves behind songs, stories, and many friends. He knew what it was like to be on top of a mountain. His life was short, but certainly full. I'm very happy to have known him, and I'll always value the time I was able spend with him. The world...
