Not sure what to say?

I do not think there has ever been a better teacher. The first day of class he told us that we always need to sign our name on our homework. But unlike everyone else, he told us why. He said your name is your legacy. Each paper that gets graced with it has your personal seal of approval. No matter how small or how large, you are saying "I have given my all and this is who I am". It is rare a day goes by that I do not think of that, often followed by the hope that my name may some day mean as...

I don't think I can truly put into words how amazing this man was, and how much of a positive impact he has made not only on me as a student, but on thousands of other students as well. He was hilarious, he was creative, he inspired you, and he listened to you, he understood what your problems were. He was the best teacher ever, and I don't think we'll ever have another teacher quite like Mr. Ford. Thank you so much, Mr. Ford. You truly made my sophomore year a blast.

We are going to miss our Prince. I have known Chris for a good many years. We go back to Aloha and then recently at Westview. Chris was our honorary Special Ed teacher although he was our Language Arts teacher. He was also truly our own version of John Keating from the Dead Poets' Society. His laugh was infectious, his deep caring for all students authentic, and his love of words and literature to transform hearts never-ending. He made it a point to memorize every students' name-- and he did...

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.

Mr. Ford was one of the most memorable teachers I had. He was affable, goofy and made class a fun environment. He had this giant "thing" hanging above his desk that students could contribute random items to, and he kept everything. It really made kids feel included. He brought books to life in class, especially To Kill a Mockingbird where he would dress up as Atticus. His enthusiasm for literature was contagious. Mr. Ford was a top notch, genuine person and he will be greatly missed.

Made such an impact on my learning experience in middle school and I am so thankful for him as a person and as a teacher. My condolences to family and friends.

Of all the teachers I've ever had Chris Ford was right up there in the top three educators. Of all the teachers that I've felt lucky to have known, who we're inspiring, personable, encouraging, and funny as hell, fanny pack and all, Chris will always be preeminent. He is who appears in my mind when I hear the word "teacher" Rest easy Teach Thanyou for all the encouragement. It meant the world.

To all The Fords, esp Mary & Julie....what a wonderful tribute to your brother. You know he's making everyone happy up there ....and you know he's all good!! Love, Kate (Roche) Fryer
