beneath chris' gentle exterior was an individual who had a great passion to excel in all his undertakings. I admired chris for that as well as for his integrity and embrace of progressive ideas.

Chris will remain in my heart always, since we were close, starting with our teaching at Pima College in 1970. Precious love.

Chris and I were college sweethearts at SUNY Buffalo in the 60s. We kept in touch for almost 50 years. He was a wise, witty and wonderful man!

I met Chris in Alaska when defending two lawsuits against the Robert Rude Center by two elderly ladies who slipped and fell on the steps. All of the things you say about him in the opening words of his tribute were true--I knew him as a kind, environmentally sensitive, terrific guy.
