I did lights for the production Oklahoma and attended almost all the rehearsals. Chris was very talented and was one of the cornerstones of our play. I'll never forget the night that Chris, (Curly), went to Judd's room and knocked on the door. The stage hands forgot to put the pins in and the door crashed forward to the floor. Chris did his best to maintain character until he has to sing "The Door Squeaks, The Door Creaks". He could not stay in character and laughed through the whole song. In...

My deepest sympathy for the friends and family of Chris. I knew Chris at Carmel High and our friendship was a result of a love of writing and performing music and making films. Who knows what awards the film "Kneecap Nemesis" would have earned had the photo processing plant not lost the darned thing...

Dear Hansens,
I was lucky enough to be Chris's friend my last year at Carmel High. We played together in local bands. Always smiling, humble and good-humored, and a great musician. He will be so missed.

My heartfelt sympathies to all of Chris' family and friends. Chris and I were very good friends through high school but I haven’t seen him since 1970 or so. He and I were in a band for many years (Ominous Sky) and we spent countless days, and nights together: practicing, jamming, recording, creating, laughing, talking, and philosophizing. He and I had a deep musical connection that I have not had since then. I’ll never forget his eccentric ways, his creativity, his sense of humor, seeing...

Dear Betty, Cindy, Katie, Tedde and Eric,
Chris’s music will live forever in all that heard him play and sing. The many occasions that he performed in Valdez, Alaska, I am sure are not forgotten. He arrived in Alaska with talent, compassion and a huge need to explore life. In Valdez, he worked as a carpenter (own business), fisherman, a boat builder, a guitar teacher, a musician (played a wicked bass guitar) and for ALYESKA Pipeline company. He was well respected...

Hi Hansen Family,
I heard of Christophers passing March 26th. The previous day I had come accross a picture of him and was hoping to see him again. I guess the picture will have to do. I have many happy memories of him as my step-dad. He was a talented artist and musician. There was always music and musicians in our house. I will miss him but still have him in my memories.
Wistfully,
Toria Estes
