Shuler-Marshall Funeral Home - Holly Hill Obituary

Celebration of life services will be held Saturday, April 18, 2015, 12:00 Noon, at Mt. Pisgah African Methodist Episcopal Church, 220 Old Gilliard Road, Ridgeville, South Carolina.  The Reverend J. P. Harrison, pastor, will officiate.  Burial will follow in the Shuler Cemetery.  Viewing will be held Friday from noon until 8:00 p.m.

Christopher Cy Howard, a son of Ms. Shirley Brown Howard and Mr. Henry Howard, was born on September 9, 1980 in Charleston, South Carolina. He slipped away to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 12, 2015.

“Cy” grew up in Cross, South Carolina and attended Cross Elementary and Cross High School.

He was a member of Mt. Pisgah African Methodist Episcopal Church in Ridgeville, South Carolina.

He worked as a flooring installer with Omar Flooring and most recently, Smith’s Towing.

He leaves to cherish fond and loving memories: two loving sons: Christopher Howard, Jr. and Kavon Jahi Howard; his parents: Ms. Shirley B. Howard and Mr. Henry W. Howard; his brother, Mr. Devry D. Howard; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Louise W. Brown; his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Minnie S. Howard; his uncles: Mr. Robert Brown, Mr. David (Crystal) Brown, Mr. Herman (Nora) Brown, Mr. Clifton Brown, Mr. Kenneth Brown, Mr. Arthur O. (Carrie) Howard, and Mr. William Wright; his aunts: Ms. Annie Ruth Brown, Ms. Annette B. Ford, Ms. Lillie M. Howard, Ms. Nancy Howard(favorite aunt), Mrs. Charlene (Walter) Smith and Mrs. Danielle (Alex) Bradley Moore; his grand aunts: Mrs. Flossie Pringle, Mrs. Clara Pringle and Mrs. Betty (Eddie) Watson; a great aunt, Mrs. Sarah Weldon; his grand uncles: Mr. James “Peg” Wright, Mr. Billy Wright, Mr. Joe Louis Howard and Mr. Arthur P. Sanders; four cousins who were like his sisters: Chrysanthia Brown, Tracy Eaddy, Carmen Brown and Felicia Brown, his god-sister, Ida Michelle Anderson, a devoted friend, Mr. Carlos Smith four nephews, three nieces, and a host of cousins, friends and associates.
