Not sure what to say?

Dewight, Greg and Mary Lane
When you grow up with someone and you realy cant remember not knowing them, they kind of just seem like family. Thats the way I feel about all of you guys, like family and I, even though we werent the closest of friends, feel the loss of Mickey with you. He was always the Smartest, Cutest or most popular. That pretty well sums up the way everyone felt about him when he was a kid and it carried over to his adult life as well. No doubt he will be missed.
I...

Hello All,

I have to say that losing Chris has impacted me in ways that I never could have imagined. He was like a brother to me. There are posts here as to "what to say" and there just isn't anything.

I delivered the Eulogy at Chris' memorial service and it WAS the hardest thing I'd ever done in my life. I spent two days where I did nothing but think about it because I wanted it to be right for Mickey.

I'm posting it here for those of you who didn't get...

Dear loved ones,
My deepest sympathy and prayers go out to you and your family. As pastors we face this often, but it is always difficult to express our heart in words. We just have to trust God that for whatever reason, Chris's purpose for being on this earth was fullfilled. I mostly remember Chris's smile and laughter. It didn't matter where you were on the high school social ladder, he always treated you with respect and had a kind and gentle spirit. As I read the entries of new...

MY DEEPEST SYMPATHY GOES OUT TO EVERYONE ON THIS LOSS.. I HAVE THE BEST MEMORIES OF CHRIS! HE WAS THE SWEETES PERSON AND ALWAYS A PEACE MAKER.. I HAVE SO MANY MEMORIES OF HIM, I CANNOT BEGIN TO SHARE MY BEST.. I THINK ANYONE THAT NEW CHRIS; OR HAD THE CHANCE TO HAVE HIM IN ANY PART OF THEIR LIFE WAS BLEST..EVERY MEMORY WAS GREAT.. I WILL MISS HIM A LOT.. WE ALL LOVE YOU MICKEY!!

Chris was one of my dearest friends in high school. When I heard about him recently, I felt absolutely heartbroken. I truly loved Mickey, and I want his family to know that they are in my prayers.

After reading some of the other entries, it is so easy to see and remember why Chris was so special, just being himself. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Remember that God is with you and he will help see you through this.

Dwight, Marylane, and Gerg,
I can not begin to tell you how many times each day since I heard about Chris, that you all and he have been in my thoughts. This is so hard to comprehend. I have found this verse to be helpful to me, and I wanted to share it with you. Proverbs 3:5-6. "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct they paths."
I pray that God will see you through this and that...

I have not seen you since we graduated but I have fond memories of you in high school. Always friendly and always with a smile on your face. You will be very missed by all who have known you. My thoughts and prayers to your family.
