New Castle- Christopher Allen Keefe, 35, died at home in New Castle, NH on Wednesday March 22, 2006.

Born in Dover, NH on October 27, 1970, he was the son of Robert and Leda (Merrill) Keefe. Chris was a gifted artist, and a talented musician who could transform words, sound, and even the most simple materials into things of great beauty. He had a loving spirit, and often reached out to help others who were in need.

He loved animals. He had particular fondness for Cali, an English Bulldog, and Fuzz, his remarkable black Halloween cat.

After graduating from ORHS, Chris enjoyed working as head tour guide at Red Hook Brewery and being a drummer in several local bands. He lived and worked in Washington, DC for seven years before moving to New Castle in 2003 to be near the ocean that he loved so much.

Other members of his family include his brothers Daniel Keefe, of Durham, NH, Patrick and Jennifer Keefe (and family), of Conway, NH, Robert F. Keefe, of Durham, his Grandmother Mary Goodwin, of Seabrook, and his long time friend and companion John Hill of New Castle, NH.

A memorial service will be held at Kent & Pelczar Funeral Home, 77 Exeter Street, Newmarket, on Saturday April 8, 10:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cocheco Valley Humane Society, 262 County Farm Rd., Dover, NH 03820.

Not sure what to say?

Dear Dan and Family,

Our Deepest Sympathy

Chris, I wish there was more I could have done. I will miss you, your wit and your smiles and your laughter. You were such a good soul. To John and his family...he loved you all so much.

I am honered to sign this guest book, but saddened to have to do it.
Chris had a side of his heart that a lot of people didn't even know. I was one of the fortunate people that knew that side.
To have a customer in a Hot Dog Joint(Chris had a cheeseburger and a Mountain Dew)care about the guy behind the counter enough to give you a birthday card and just some fun stuff is something that regular people don't even think about. That is friendship and that was Chris. My heart goes...

Chris was always so friendly and nice to us as new neighbors. We will miss him. We mourn and grieve with Chris' family and friends.
Nancy and George Kinser

I had the pleasure of working with Chirs at Redhook. He always put a smile on my face and would make things better then they were. He was truly a wonderful man.
I am so sorry for your lost.

Chris-
I was totally shocked to hear that you passed. I wish that we could have hung out more recently, but it wasn't meant to be. I will always remember your shining spirit and friendship over the years. Time really does fly, but the memories of all of the good times that we had will stay with me until I see you on the other side.
Peace Be With You Brother-

We will forever miss your presence at IOP Chris.

I'm really so sorry to hear about your loss.
