Christopher Dale Lance was born December 14, 1975 to Stephen and Polly Lance in Fort Hood, Texas. Chris went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 6th, 2017 in Denton, TX from an unexpected illness. He had just turned 41 years old.
Christopher graduated from The Colony High School in The Colony, Texas class of 1994. Chris was a Police Officer with The Colony Police Department in 1998. His mother-in-law Teresa Sink (dispatcher and match maker) introduced Chris to her daughter Shannon. After nagging them both to go on their first date, Shannon and Chris have been happily married for 16 and a half years. Chris left the police department to follow many entrepreneur opportunities - Carpet Cleaning, House renovation, (unsuccessful goat breeding with 2 male goats). He ultimately found a successful career with Hulcher Services in Denton, Texas. Chris has been with Hulcher Services for about 10 years. He lived life to its fullest. Chris loved his children and his family more than anything in the world. He loved to spend time coaching peewee football and softball, and watching his favorite team the Cowboys. This was the family's first year raising show animals and he loved it. His smile, his laugh and his caring nature will always be remembered.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Wyatt and Dorothy Wright, Dale and Sharon Lance.
Among those who will miss him dearly include his parents Stephen and Polly Lance, His loving wife Shannon, their children Ethan, Kennedy and Claire (at home) in Sanger, Texas. Sister Skye Lynn and husband Ryan along with their children Lynzy, Bryson and Autumn of North Richland Hills, Texas. His Mother and Father-in-law, Teresa and Bob Sink. His Father-in-law Steve Sickles. His Sister-in-laws Nicole (Chris) Long, Allison Sink, Stephanie Sink and Amanda Cameron, many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held to celebrate Chris's life will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 13, 2017 at the Church of Christ, 400 Locust Street, Sanger, Texas 76266. Mason Peebles will officiate the services.

My heart goes out to Steve, Polly, Sky, Janette, Todd and the rest of the lance family. I only met Chris a couple of times when we were younger. But I felt like I know him because my sister (Chris' Aunt Janette) was so proud of Chris and talked about him many times over the years. She would tell me everything he had accomplished and how proud she was when he became a police officer.
Hugs!!!!
