Gilbertson Funeral Home and Cremation Service - Stanwood Obituary

Christopher Wylie Link, 1955 – 2017, son of M.P. Link Jr. and Elizabeth C. Link. Chris is survived by his sons, Marshall Link and Tucker Link; their mother Amy Link; his brother Douglas Link; his nieces, Mona Ohmart and Jennifer Link; nephew, Peter Link; grandnephew, Gus Colby and grand nieces, Faith Ohmart and Lena Colby.

Chris was a farmer, carpenter, cabinet and furniture maker, real estate agent, musician, and guitar collector extraordinaire. He was a man of many talents and interests; a student of history, language, culture, and human nature; a lover of books, animals, and the great outdoors. He was an avid camper, hiker, and supporter of environmental organizations. Christopher will be sorely missed by his family and long-time wide circle of friends. His empathy, compassion, and sparkling sense of humor, along with his razor-sharp intellect, will not be forgotten. There will be a Private memorial, close friends and family only.

Not sure what to say?

Many years have past yet I still think of Chris often. I still have a reminder sitting in my driveway, God Bless.

I have to add an additional message tonight, as I am at a loss for my friend Chris. I purged my phone this evening and found the last time Chris and I spoke Dec 7th and we spoke for a long time. I had no idea that would be the last time! I called several times after that with no success, tonight just reminded me how much I miss my friend and I wanted to express that! God Bless.

OMG I feel such a loss. I shared many memories and laughs with Chris over the last 10-15 years! My first thoughts go out to his immediate and most important ones, Marshal, Tucker, Doug and Amie. I know you well and know your impact on his life! Chris was a UNIQUE individual to say the least! To be part of his life was a challenge at times and a pure pleasure at other times. Let me sum it up: he had compassion for others but stub burn as hell, he loved others but stub burn as hell he cared...

Christopher was a dear friend of mine. We wondered together often at the profundity, simplicity, and beauty of nature in all its disarming splendor. Rest in peace dear friend. Cecilia Goin
