Obituary

Despite accepting the challenge and putting up a valiant fight, Chris lost his battle with cancer on Thursday, May 19, 2022.
Throughout his difficult times, he gained strength from his family: from his love for Christine, his children and his grandchildren and from the gift of love he cherished from Kerri-Lynn, Andrew, Krista, Carter, Keira, Lincoln and Olivia.
Predeased by his parents Frank & Theresa and both his grandparents. He leaves behind his siblings Donna(Gary), Karen(Marc) Rob(Cathy) Tim(Michelle), and many Aunts&, Uncles and cousins near and far.

Chris was a man who had a fierce love and protectiveness for his family and friends and never lost his proud Cape Breton Heritage. His Down-East childhood summers were spent swimming in the ocean while at his Grandmother's House and he enjoyed nothing better than a good, down-home house party filled with the music that was such an important part of his Cape Breton Culture.
During his working years, Chris was employed by Chubb Alarms, K.F.C. Purolator, Nestles and McDonalds (Highbury), the latter from which he retired.

A celebration of Life for Chris will be announced through Facebook friends. Cremation has taken place. Donations to Cancer Society (www.cancer.ca) in Chris's memory greatly appreciated
Our family would like to express our appreciation for the Palliative Care Team. Special mention to Dr. Achtar and St. Elizabeth Home care and V.O.N. and Care partners. The patience and kindness for Chris as he went through these last few weeks we will never forget your care and concern.

This is very sad. My condolences to all family, and friends. Chris was a very special person to many of us, his grade school and long term friends. My memory was that he was always considered to be the "cool" one of the group. Not to date myself, but in our group of friends, I always felt he was our "Fonzy" :) Long hair, leather jacket, black platform boots..... he had a look. When I think of Chris I always smile......probably because I always think of him laughing for some reason. I...

Our deepest condolences to Christine and family.
You're in our thoughts and prayers.
