My boyfriend Bronko and I met each other, and Chris, years ago at Sam Goody. Chris was always dedicated, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and happy to share his thoughts (and promos) with us lowly managers. I did not keep in touch with him over the years, and we just saw the news on Facebook. Our thoughts are with his wife and children. We are so sorry to have to say good-bye.

As a teenager "interning" under Chris in the late-90's, he filled my book bag with old issues of Cream Magazine and CDs of bands I'd soon come to love. Chris worked with my dad at Sam Goody's Greenwich Village office and he spent many days kindly finding tasks for me to do.
On September 11, 2001, when I called the office frantically looking for my dad, Chris talked me down and told me that my dad was safe. Many years later, when I found myself living in New York City, Chris suggested that we meet up (as did my dad) but, somehow, those plans never quite came to fruition.
When I heard that Chris passed away, I was shocked and saddened. How could this be? What about his family? How could such a loved and respected man be yanked from this world so soon?
My deepest sympathies are with the Nadler family. I am so sorry for your loss.
All the best,
Shannon McGarvey

Dear Leslie, Coltrane and Adison and family. I am so sorry for your loss. I will miss him.

Dear Leslie, Coltrane, Adison and family: I left the music biz many years ago and I honestly forgot about most of the people. When I learned of Chris' passing my heart felt heavy because my memories of him made me smile. He was always such a warm, friendly, super sweet person and I will always remember him that way. Prayers of strength to you all during this difficult time.

Dear Leslie and family: I had lost touch with Chris over the last several years but when I heard this news, I felt it in my heart. What came back to me immediately were vivid memories of Chris when I knew him back in the Metallix days when he was a friend to every publicist including myself, taking a personal interest in all of the bands we were working whether he liked them or not and in the process turning me onto artists that he loved. He was ALWAYS smiling and ALWAYS positive, a rare and inviting combination that made me always happy to see him. What a loss for all of you. My heart is with you. May his memory be a blessing. I will call him Angel Chris. All love to all of you

I send this in celebration of the life of an amazingly creative man, a real cool and caring Father and music enthusiast who superbly rocked various shades of red hair that would make Annie Lenox envious. In fact, Sweet Dreams, happy times and lots of memorable laughs are just a few things he leaves behind for us. His creative ideas and great trouble-shooting skills made prosperous results for many. He was one of a kind and will be missed. I send in celebration of your life Chris (my fellow Mizzou Tiger). Sending prayers and hugs to your dear family and to all that love you. God bless. "TLC"
