An Adventurous Spirit
Christopher Panatier embraced his spirit of adventure and determination at an early age. At 3, he clambered behind the wheel of his father's 1959 Cadillac and managed to put the car in neutral, said an older sister, Patricia. The car rolled down the family's sloping driveway and into the cul-de-sac, and crashed into the neighbor's bushes.

"I ran to the car, thinking the worst," Ms. Panatier said, "but there he was with a big smile on his face. He was ready to go. He was ready to do it again."

On the eve of a benefit triathlon in Sag Harbor, N.Y., he realized that he had forgotten his bicycle helmet. Instead of skipping the race, he wore his hockey helmet. "It was ridiculously funny," Ms. Panatier said.

Mr. Panatier, 36, of Rockville Centre, N.Y., was a foreign-currency trader for Cantor Fitzgerald on the 104th floor of 1 World Trade. He married his high school sweetheart, Carolyn, and they had two children, Annie, 6, and Christopher, 4. His ample esprit drew many lifelong friends. "People just gravitated to him," Ms. Panatier said. "He was a great husband and father, which was paramount to him."

Thinking of Christopher and the entire Panitier family, as always... ❤

My wife and I recently visited New York and toured the Trade Center pools. I ran across your name and found it special because my name is Christopher and my only son's name is Matthew. Today is Sept 11, 2016 and also my wife's birthday. As we sit here and talk about how moved we where on our visit, we want all to know that you and your family are in our prayers on this day.

Always in our hearts, never forgoten

The McLaughlin Family remembers Christopher on this very somber day. He was Renee and Jim's youngest, the "baby" of the family. Gone far too soon. We will never forget your beloved parents and your wonderful brother, Christopher. Karen McLaughlin Sheehy and family

To The Panatier Family,
Though I only spent a couple of childhood times with Christopher, and the memories are now so distant, our families were intertwined; Renee and Jim were two of my dear mother's (Mary Alice Reilly-McLaughlin) cherished friends. Our family was so very shocked and horrified to learn that sweet Christopher was one of the 9/11 victims. Truly, no one's life has ever been the same, but I know the magnitude of your personal loss is indescribable.
I just wanted to...

Unveiling Chris Retired Jersey at SUSB

I flew down the Hudson yesterday and saw the new Freedom Tower rising on the tip of Manhatten. Brought back all the memories of those horrible days and weeks.

We'll never forget Chris and the happiness he brought into the world

I am so sorry your not here
