Not sure what to say?

Thank you for being an amazing teacher and amazing friend Mr. Peterson. I will always remember your help back in 9th grade English and I will carry that with me forever. Though you may be gone you will not be forgotten. R.I.P.

I had the honor of having Mr. P (what he had us call him!) for my third grade as well as my sixth grade teacher! He was by far one of the most incredible teachers I have ever had, knew how to make any lesson fun, was supportive and engaged in what was happening. He truly didn't play into the student-teacher power struggle but rather balanced being a teacher, a human and a friend all at once. I look back on my times with him with a smile and I am sad to have learned of his passing. Just wanted...

Mr. Peterson took on the role of substitute for our Freshman Chinese class for two weeks. Despite this short time frame, we learned that he was extremely motivating and energetic in exploring other cultures and I found it hard not to respect his efforts in leading the class on. But more importantly, Mr. Peterson was a beacon of warmth and friendliness. His bright smile was extremely contagious. I will forever remember him as a role model.

I miss Chris every day. I wish we'd had a chance to have an actual conversation, not just snippets. Sarah and the boys, I'm sending my love.

I just stumbled across this online while looking for something else. I am so shocked and saddened to hear this news. My husband and I lived with Chris and Sarah at Ruth's Co-op House in/after college. Chris was such a sweet, calm, kind person. A uniquely peaceful person. And yet quick with a smile. Sarah, I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. And for your sons' loss. Chris was a wonderful person.

We are the ones that called 911. We are so sorry for your loss and are praying for you.

Mr.Peterson was the best teacher I actually got to meet this last year (my freshman year) he helped me through the school year with out giving up. I will always miss him. I'm very sorry to his family for his loss

I almost got into an AP English class my Senior year at Skyline High School, but I missed one of the summer assignments. I'm glad this happened, because I was able to have Mr. Peterson as my English teacher for my final trimester at Skyline, in 2014. He helped me look at stories, opinions, and more, from multiple perspectives. He encouraged me with my creative writing, and helped me develop it through an independent study we did together. I will never forget my final English class I had with...

Chris was the best of the best teachers and colleagues. His walking among us has made us all better teachers and more joyful people. His legacy of engagement and caring will inspire everyone of us for the decades to come. It is with broken hearts that we say farewell to our Skyline colleague.
