Not sure what to say?

I met Chris while he was a public defender with Washtenaw County. He was always going out of his way to make sure the clients at Community Mental Health received a fair deal. As a mental health professional with CMH I was impressed by his efforts on behalf of all the clients we served. I'm just learning of this now and I'm very sad to hear the news. Sending my sincere condolences to his family.

Still think of you often and with love. Always will forever be in our hearts.

Chris worked at the Federal Defender Office in Grand Rapids for a short time, but became great friends with many of us. This included members of the extended Federal Defender Family, such as Court staff, Probation, United States Attorney's Office, and our CJA Panel Attorneys. He was such an extraordinary person, intelligent, witty, hard-working, and he truly cared about people. In his memory, we made a donation to the Innocence Project. Chris dedicated his career to defending the indigent...

Dear Pam and Family,
I remember Christopher and his brothers when they visited in summer and we went swimming. You were instructing my oldest son with his golf game, and we stayed behind making strawberry jam with your mother. It was hot and we headed to a neighbor's pool for a swim. Christopher was such a cute, chubby little one with white, blonde hair. He was timid about the water and his grandma was concerned, but we took the water slowly in the shallow end and he was delighted with...

Chris was my supervisor when I did the Washtenaw County Public Defender's Clinic during my last semester at Thomas Cooley Law School. Chris and I had an instant bond and he was such a joy to be around. He was such a great mentor and I will also never forget the great laugh that he had. I was so sad to hear of his passing. Chris was an awesome man and I will never forget him.

Dear Pam and Tom, What a very sad thing, and what an accomplished young man. Margaret joins me in sympathy with your loss. Sincerely, Basil Clark

Tom: Ann and I were very sorry to hear of Chris' passing. I remember him as a student at SVSU. Intelligent, friendly, mature--he had it all.
