Dr. Roark's passion and dedication to Literature and to his students will be cherished. I will always remember, upon returning to JCU for graduate school, the sheer joy on his face and in his voice when he spoke of his wife and children. May God bless his family and carry them through this time of grief.

So very sad to hear this news. My son was on Owen's t-ball team a couple of years ago, and Chris stepped into the breach to coach when the regular coach failed to show up. Always kind, encouraging, and friendly, and absolutely wonderful with the kids. My deepest sympathies go out to his family and friends; he will be missed in the community.

I just looked at pictures I took at Amy's and Chris's wedding. I think it was the happiest I had ever seen him, until last week when he talked about his life with Amy and the children. I will miss him so much.

He was the best neighbor a person could have. Always available to help. Very generous. We shared a snowblower. He was full of wit and fun. And i loved watching him early in the morning at the bus-stop (the end of my driveway) with his two sons and a soccer ball, waiting for the school bus.
