J.R,Joyce and Richard,
Chis was an amazing friend/firefighter. It brings a smile to our faces to remember all of the great memories that we had together. He had a smile and sense of humor that we will always remember. You raised an amazing young man that will be missed forever. You are in our thoughts and prayers. If there is anything that you need please feel free to call us.

Me & your dad, brother & mother miss you man!!!!

Joyce, Jim (BIG DADDY) and Richard,
I am one of the girls from the cruise last year and I am SO sorry for your loss. Kristina, one of the other girls, told me what happened and it was so ironic because just a few days before, I was driving in my car and laughing out loud about a conversation we had had and recorded about Chris and Chris out "shootin' COON" with that silly southern accent of his. We will miss him, but we certainly have some GREAT pictures and TONS of memories!!! ...

To the Roy Family:
Though I haven't stayed in touch very well since my family moved away, I've never lost my sense of connection to friends in Calera. My heart is heavy with grief as recall your faces and imagine the suffering in your hearts. Please know that you and everyone who loved Chris are in my prayers, particularly as Christmas approaches. May the angels' song of "Peace, goodwill toward men. . ." bring a measure of peace to your sorrowing spirits.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Roy, my sincere condolences in the loss of your son Chris. I know he was a blessing to you both each and every day, therefore his memory will never be lost. I pray that God's Grace and Mercy will be upon you and your family each and every day and I pray for peace and for strength to accompany you always. God Bless you.

To the Roy family and Christine Nesmith,
I had the pleasure in life on many occasions to be in the presence of Chris. He always brought a smile to my face and a loud laughter from my mouth. He was a joy to know and I will eternally miss him. I believe that the Lord blesses us with only a few like Chris, so that we will forever be grateful. My deepest sympathy and prayers are with you all. I've worked for the Calera Police Department for 10 yrs. and they would not have been as...
