Christopher Glenn Rushing

I found this picture today of my kindergarten class and Chris and i were standing next to each other. He´s the second on the far right and i´m the third. I always had a friend in Chris. He was always the sweetest boy and funny! A great sense of humor even at such a young age. I´m saddened to find of his passing, and i´m sending love to his family. Rest peacefully, Chris.

I used to go to Chris´s house to play Nintendo, and he would always beat me. I loved hanging out with him when we were little, but I had to move in fifth grade. I still think of him from time to time. I found this obituary on a search, and though it´s been a couple of years, I feel that it´s never too late to say what an impact he had on my life as a kid to see someone who was special in his own way, but to not let it get in the way of being a light to others. I was Christopher's fifth grade teacher. He was brave and a sweet boy. Mr. and Mrs. Rushing, you were faithful, devoted parents. You inspired me each day with the way you took care of Chris. I would have attended the service, but was out of town. Praying for your beautiful memories to sustain you through your grief.
