I too knew Chris Stanley as a lawyer, but from the other side. I was an assistant prosecuting Attorney for the county, and he jerked me around more than once representing those accused. He did a good job. He was one of those that brought a balancing element to the criminal justice process. I respected his acumen, he read anything and everything. And I will remember him fondly. My sympathy goes out to those that survive him. James Columbro

I believe this is the lawyer that worked with a group of lawyers I was a runner for in 1985-87. We were all in the Rockefeller building. I worked specifically for Ben Sheerer who also has passed. We had some great times there. As a kid coming right of of high school and heading to college this was a perfect job. I remember playing on their softball team. Chris , Ben and myself would often hit Kaims a greasy spoon next door. We also used to get ribs at Fortes stand. The best in Cleveland. RIP...

I knew Chris when we were both young and reckless and knew him better in our older years when serenity prevailed. He had wisdom and a dry sense of humor while always trying to help others. Charlie Lazzaro
