Stewart, Christopher Lee 54 Feb. 19, 1957 Dec. 18, 2011 Chris Stewart died Dec 18, sadly taking his own life. He lived full speed ahead, always telling stories and jokes, sometimes offensive -- with the goal of making people laugh -- and was usually successful. We always knew when he was around,...

Chris, your abundant smile is a fond memory from THS, and how you would always find a way to sneak my lunch money from me in Pottery class. Although you chose a bold way to exit this life, I want you to know we were witnesses to your life and your energy and that you mattered. I know your light is shining now brighter than ever and I am at peace knowing you found the answers you sought. Shine on Chris!

Stew (as we called him) has been a customer at our store for many years. We have been worried about him, as he hasn't been in for awhile. Needless to say, we were shocked when we found his obituary. We really enjoyed Stew, and are so sad about his passing. we are now trying to get ahold of his family regarding some of his things. We would appreciate it if someone could contact his family and have them call us. Our contact phone number is (702) 870-7260. I hope that Stew has found peace...

My mother kept popping in and out (keeping an eye on things) and finally, she looked at us and said, "Is that all you can do?" I actually saw the smiling face and read the obituary and by the end realizing Chris was my 2nd cousin. My mom was Karen Peer. We are so sorry for your loss. My brother and I would like to attend the memorial.

I didn't know Chris either, and am struck by the profound, compassionate questions in his obituary. I pray for comfort for those who loved Chris.
I've heard it said that if a person can touch the life of even one other person, it is a life well lived. I can assure you, after reading Chris' s story, he has succeeded in touching a life: mine.
