Not sure what to say?

I just came across this obituary from the newspaper that I had set aside after reading it in Sept 2022. I was a patient of Dr. Thomas briefly in 1968 after he removed a stick that was as big around as your thumb and probably 7" - 8" long from my abdomen. It had found it's way there when I fell on it when playing backyard football. I've thought of him often over the years whenever I notice the scar a couple inches above my beltline. Godspeed, Dr. Thomas and condolence to your family.

Single Memorial Tree

Carol and family--my condolences on the death of your loved one. So many memories shared at the memorial service, and may these and the other memories shared over the years be of comfort as you move through a difficult time. I have known Mr. Thomas and Carol through his sister, Dottie at Asbury church. Bonnie Ruwart

To all the Thomas' from all the Blackwell's, we send our heartfelt condolences. So many memories from being next door neighbors for many years. C.Y. was the center of so many stories from that time. A great laugh to go with his great sense of humor. He is remembered fondly by Jim and Betty, Leigh and Donna

My deepest sympathies are extended to the entire family. My Dad, the late "Bob" Colbert served in the USAF with Dr. Thomas and we were neighbors in Albuquerque. Dr Chris Thomas was one of the greatest men that I ever knew and I remember him fondly and credit him for saving my life at least once. He was always modest, professional and caring. I remember Dr. Thomas being there at the USAF Sandia Base Hospital in 1952, when I had Polio at age 4. In 1956, my father took me to St Luke's...

A great man with a great laugh.

My sympathies to the family. I grew up around the Thomas family. Dr. Thomas was a great role model. Playful, present and clearly enjoying a life fully lived. Always willing to jump in with calm and useful advice. It was an honor to have known him. Sincerely, Brian Durwood
