Not sure what to say?

I first met Chris in Bowling Green. He had just ridden a bicycle from Lakewood to BG to see Ellen. Since then Chris was 'that' friend in my life everyone would be blessed to have. From our mountain man camping in PA in our twenties to his hands on help with the construction of my first house to our dogs playing together to brew on the patio, he was my friend.

Omg so sad to hear. I grew up down the street from Chris. He was my childhood idol being 5 years younger than him. He taught me how to shoot marbles and so many other things. He always treated me like a little brother. I remember him playing football and then joining the navy during Vietnam. Was so happy when he returned safely. Last time I saw him was at my informal class of '73 reunion at Around The Corner when his class of '68 was also there. It was so great to catch up after many years...

I knew of Chris while attending LHS and its football games. I met Chris when he returned from Viet Nam. In the past several years, he has surprised me by asking questions or commenting on my embroidery which I post on FB. Either he was an art enthusiast or was simply being sweet. We have lost a wonderful kind-hearted man who is missed. To his family, I am so very sorry for your loss. Ellen, we met long ago. Warm hugs.

Our neighbor, our friend, and my mother’s guardian angel... words are not written that can describe our sense of loss. People like you only come around once in a lifetime. How fortunate we were...we miss you Chris!

The Lump !!!!!--friend for 50 plus years
