In Loving Memory of Christopher Michael Wasche
9/27/1989– 6/23/2025
Christopher “Kiffer” Wasche, 35, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 23, 2025; leaving behind a trail of broken hearts and a lot of people wondering how we’re supposed to carry on without his lead.
He was born in Moose Lake, MN on September 27, 1989 to his parents: Paul and Crystal “Mitzi”. He grew up in Moose Lake and graduated from Moose Lake High School in 2008. Kiffer and Rachelle started dating in October 2004 and on October 7, 2011, Kiffer married Rachelle Dobosenski.
He worked for Willow River Utilities until he entered the oil, gas, and energy industry in 2008 working as a Journeyman Boilermaker Foreman and in 2021 became a #1 Production Specialist/Operator at Flint Hills Resources in Rosemount, MN.
Kiffer lived life full throttle, whether he was tearing up trails on a Ranger ride, cruising in the 442, or shooting guns. He had a deep love for the outdoors and was never more at peace than when sitting around a campfire, surrounded by his family with a wide range of tunes.
He was a man who took pride in the simple things done right, being loyal, working hard, making jerky, perfecting any cut of meat or rack of ribs, stocking up on sticks from the meat store, or smoking something new. A few of his favorites were fishing or shooting guns with his kids and teaching them patience and technique.
More than anything, Kiffer was a family man. His greatest joy came from being with his wife and children, who he loved with his whole heart and spoke about with unmistakable pride. Every ride, every joke, every story somehow led back to them. They were his world, and if you ever spent five minutes with him, you knew that.
A jokester to the core with a serious side, Kiffer had the rare gift of making anyone laugh, whether through a well-timed one-liner, a harmless prank (Go Ahead Call HR), or just that look in his eye that let you know something funny was coming. He didn’t just brighten a room, he cracked it up.
Kiffer is preceded in death by his father, Paul Wasche in 2014.
He is survived by his wife Rachelle; children: Elliott, Madison, Brooklyn, Willard, Richard, Allen, Donald & Clark; his mom: Crystal “Mitzi” Glowacki; siblings: Lori (Desi) Hall; Ben Wasche; Molly (Austin) Wasche; and Emily (Jill) Jasperson; along with countless friends, and people still looking up to the great man he was.
Visitation will be from 4-8 pm on Saturday, July 5, 2025 in Hope Lutheran Church, Moose Lake. A funeral service to honor Kiffer’s life will be held on Sunday, July 6, 2025 at 4 pm in Hope Lutheran Church. Come as you are with work boots, flannel, camo, or grease under your nails! Following the service, bring your best stories to share around the fire at his home.
Do as Kif would do, put your best foot forward, cast a line with someone you love, try a new jerky recipe, find a back road to nowhere, light a fire, stay laser focused and work on your aim. That’s how he lived and that’s how he’d want to be remembered.
He left us unexpectedly but not quietly, and never without leaving us something to smile about.
A private burial will be in Blomskog Cemetery, Windemere Twp., Pine County.
Arrangements by Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake.
