Swartz Funeral Home - Flint Obituary

Christopher Lee Weaver, of Gaines, age 55, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2024. He was a beloved father, brother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He was born on October 27, 1968, in Flint, Michigan, the son of the late Donald and Donna (Hornsby) Weaver.

He graduated from Baker College of Flint in 1998 with a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design with a minor in architecture. He spent his career in project management in the building industry. He also spent many hours volunteering with SPARK group (nonprofit) helping organizations in the Flint and Detroit area.

Christopher was a devoted father. He loved spending time with his children, cooking, going on different excursions, and watching their favorite TV shows. He was always there to offer guidance, support, and encouragement, no matter what challenges they faced.

In his free time, Christopher enjoyed collecting Disney items, trying new restaurants, and spending time with his dogs.

Christopher is survived by his children, Makayla, Andrew and Alexandria Weaver; sisters, Cindy (Charles) Butterfield, Sharon (Robert) Darby, Susan Cummings and Tricia (Dan) Barry; many nieces and nephews and his beloved dogs, Flynn and Kash.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother-in-law, Tony Cummings.

A private service will be held for family and close friends at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the family for funeral expenses, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Not sure what to say?

I am so deeply saddened right now, I'm afraid reaching out to others may be difficult. I hadn't seen Chris for years, except for Facebook, and to wake up and find out he joined those on the other side, earning the wings all Angels get, when we go home. Namaste' dear sweet man, and Bless all those that love you deeply.

I am at a lost of words. Chris was such an amazing person. Even though I hadn’t seen or talk to him in years. We were friends and we went to my prom together. He made the prom the best. I can’t imagine what you are going through. Prayers to his wife and kids. And his sisters especially Tricia, being his twin is like having half of you gone. I know that’s how I would feel if my brother wasn’t around. I will continue to lift you all up in prayer during this difficult time.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Chris. He was always such a fun guy to volunteer for AYSO with. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Chris was such a great person to work with. Always had witty remarks to say and always willing to help when needed. My heart goes out to his family and I lift you all up in prayer.
