Chris Weil was my father's friend and attorney, and over the years I heard more than a few Chris Weil stories. My father (Peter) was eternally grateful to Chris for representing him in a situation where one of my father's clients was under investigation, and ultimately the investigators wanted to depose my father as their attorney. Decorum prevents me from discussing the client, but Tim - next time I see you I will reveal - it's actually a bit humorous. As I remember the story, Chris was...

To the Family of Chris Weil ~ It's been 21 years since my dad, Peter S. Chantilis, called Chris his friend, confidante, and mentor, I couldn't let the moment pass without sharing with you how many times my dad spoke so highly of your dad. He called Chris a lawyer's lawyer, his lawyer, the guy he trusted to fight his battles. With his infections smile and energy, he was a force. He broke the mold. I know you will miss him dearly. Big personalities aren't easily filled. But know my dad...

Don and I send our condolences to the entire Weil family. Chris was to us “one of a kind”, a boss in the courtroom but a sweet and gentle host in his home. Not only did he take our company’s case, but he and Teddi took us as friends, inviting us into their home and embracing us almost as family. We have never known a more generous and hospitable couple than Chris and Teddi Weil. They included us for many dinners, road trips and weddings and we will cherish the memories made with them and...

Chris was a force of nature. A gift to those in need and an exceptional human being. He was a brilliant lawyer. He personalized the craft he practiced to demonstrate his demand for perfection in detail and delivery. I cherished my every encounter with him. From watching him, to listening to him, to tying to understand how much pain he endured during his illness. Chris loved his family and especially loved his beloved Teddie. My family and I send our condolences and our prayers to the...

Chris was one of the BEST lawyers I have ever seen. He was very passionate about practicing law and even tutored me for the bar exam in his upstairs loft in Potomac Avenue. He was a very good man and my family & I will miss him

Chris was a lawyer's lawyer. A blistering adversary who became a friend. Condolences to his family and close friends. RIP.

Chris Weil is a name synonymous with lawyer for the first 30 years of my practice. Chris was a colleague, friend, vigorous opponent and sharp cross examiner. Chris cross-examined me once and did an excellent job and then immediately afterward he asked me about my family. That’s who Chris Weil was. Rest In Peace Chris.
