I knew Fr Chrysostom through my brother, Fr Joe Thomas, in Fayetteville. When I first met him, in 1974 or '75, I was knew to that name and his "bubbly" personality impacted me so that I quickly called him Fr "Chrysanthemum" which I never stopped doing. He was as fine and friendly a priest as I've ever met and I will never forget him.
