June 12, 1919 ~ October 24, 2011

SEASIDE, CA - Chua Ho, also known as Jose Co Sr., 92, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed peacefully Monday, October 24, 2011 at the Community Hospital in Monterey, California. Chua was born in China on June 12, 1919, immigrated to the Philippines in the 1940s, and finally immigrating to Seaside where he has lived since 1987. Chua Ho is survived by his 10 children: Manuel, Ligaya, (June), Jose Jr. (Laarnie), Lydia, Lita, Jesus, Rodolfo (Nela), Willie Sr. (Novelita), Lolita (Ernaldo), and Lani; 23 grandchildren: Raymond, Ingelise, Jovy Grace, Marriane, Joan, Jerry, Jocelyn, Willie Jr., Marc, Vienna Marie, Wendy, Wilmar, Melanie, Shiela Marie, Mathew, Ronnie, Rodolfo Jr., Roxanne, Arion, Christian Alaistaire, Algerich, and Xianne Katherine; six great-grandchildren. Chua Ho was predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Lourdes Dy, who passed away November 2, 2009 and son, Mariano (Edna) who passed away December 6, 2007.
His family would like to thank the nursing staff of Garden East at Community Hospital for the care and comfort they have provided for Chua Ho in his final days. Special thanks to Dr. Eric Sanford and Dr. Jerome Rubin.
Viewing will be held Saturday, October 29, 2011 from 3:00pm to 8:00pm at Bayside Community Mortuary, 1610 Noche Buena St. in Seaside. Funeral Service is also at Bayside Community Mortuary beginning at 7:00pm.
