Read MoreIn October of 1974, Chuck interviewed me for a teaching position open at WiHi. I told him I was waiting to hear from another job interview and he called the next day to offer me the job. He became the first supervisor of my 33 years as a business teacher and I never forgot he took a chance on me. Thank you, sir and may you rest in eternal peace. Condolences to all who loved him.

I was in Mr. Cherry's class in high school--typing & shorthand. He recommended me for my first job after graduation...I never understood why, I'm sure I wasn't the best student. But, like someone else has said, he saw the best in people. That first job meant a lot to me & taught me how much a guiding hand can mean to a young person. Thanks Mr. Cherry.
