Not sure what to say?

Chuck lived a remarkably rich life, loved and appreciated by those who knew him. Informed, involved, concerned and caring as well as successful, it was a privilege to know Chuck and his husband Steve. For forty years, Chuck and Steve were inseparable, and our hearts go out to Steve during this difficult time. We are blessed to have known this gracious, gentle, kind man and to continue to have Steve in our lives going forward.

Chuck was the most gracious loving person that I had a chance to meet in this lifetime. I was Chuck's caregiver and had the opportunity to be with Chuck and take care of him. Chuck's husband Steve Carroll was such a devoted loving individual to Chuck, and I had the chance to witness their love for each other. Chuck you will always be missed and thought of often. I miss you, and thank you for the opportunity to know you.

An exemplary American whose success and good fortune he shared with others. I had the honor of knowing Chuck Maisel not only through his service and philanthropy to our community but also as a friend. God bless Chuck along with his life long partner and surviving spouse, Steve Carroll. While only Steve can know the deeper grief, we all share in his loss.

Dear Steve,
We are saddened to hear of the passing of Chuck. I have fond memories of you and him at my parents dinner table full of good conversation and laughter.
May you find comfort in knowing many around you are sending you love and smiling when thinking of Chuck.

Chuck was the consummate gentleman. Always there with a kind word and political encouragement. Our hearts go out to Dearest Steve.

Chuck did great service for Marin AIDS project in the early years of this dread disease. For that help to many in Marin, he will
be very fondly remembered in this County . Sincere condolences to Steve! Kevin Donovan San Rafael,CA

Chuck was one of those special people who was always ready to work for important causes. My deepest sympathy Chuck at the loss of your sweet thoughtful husband. May the wonderful memories you shared with Chuck help you through this difficult time.

Steve~
My heartfelt condolences on the loss of Chuck. We have dropped out of touch over the last few years; I was shocked to read Chuck's memorial in the Independent Journal. My Itty Bitty Buddy meant the world to me since our first meeting over forty years ago.

Steve,
We are very sorry to learn of your loss. Chuck was a man of great loyalty, talent and experience.
With sympathy,
Diana and Frank Parnell
