I send my condolences. I attended elementary school with Seymour in Montreal at Talmud Torah and knew him well when he lived in outremont. He was a little chunky back then and if I recall he had braces but great sense of humor. I went to school with him st Talmud Torah in lower part of town neat st urban and below mt Royal and then over hill to Snowden thru 8th grade when I moved to Los Angeles. Dear Rhonda, Just found out from a mutual friend from our teenage years, who was visiting us in Vancouver from Montreal, about Chuck's illness and passing. Sending you compassion and healing. Would love to reconnect. If you are planning to be in Vancouver, please let me know. Reisa Smiley Schneider

Rhonda, Alissa & Amy, I am so so very sad for all of you. I deeply regret that I could not attend Chuck´s funeral due to my health issues. I have so many wonderful memories of Chuck dating back to our late teen years and early times in Vancouver in our young 20´s until seeing most recently this last March. I know how he treasured you all. May his memory be for a blessing, Love Earl

I was deeply saddened to hear of Chucks' passing. He was a fabulous "boss" as he was simply different. He was definitely passionate in serving families but he was also kind and compassionate with his staff. He came to visit me after the birth of my first son. He was a principled and ethical man. We shared a love of laughter with him taking my roasting him during his retirement in stride. Heartfelt condolences to his community.

I am so sorry for you, your family, and for Chuck that you had to suffer through this terrible disease. He was such a sweet, kind guy and I know how much he will be missed. Eda Saskin

My love to all of you at this sad time. Chuck was a lovely man who made me laugh all the time. Marlene cxx

Chuck was my Director for many years as I worked for Child Youth Family Health as Family Advocate ... we shared very similar views on Family Centered Care and Practice and we approached many difficult and complex situations with a shared sense of humour ... may his memory be a blessing to all who had the pleasure of working with him. With my heartfelt condolences ... Cheryl Thorpe

During the years we worked together there were very few occasions when Chuck did not make me laugh. No matter, should the skies begin to darken, Chuck could find a silver and humorous lining. Highly respected by his colleagues he was a credit to the health care system. He will be missed by many. Dewey Callahan Victoria

Dear Rhonda, Alissa, Amy and families I was greatly saddened to hear of my cousin's death. He was always so much fun to be around. May all the wonderful memories you've made together help you get through this sad and difficult time. All my love Joe (Arleen)
